Thermal imaging solutions for UAV / DRONE

Application of Infrared Thermal UAV / Drone

Weight Is Everything. So Is What You Can See.

In the UAV and drone market, the thermal payload challenge has always been the same: how do you get the best possible image without compromising flight time, payload capacity, or system integration? For years, drone manufacturers and payload integrators have had to choose between performance and size — accepting bulky, heavy thermal modules from dominant players, often at a high cost and with limited customization.

Senssight changes that equation.

Our thermal camera cores — Ernest 6, Ernest 10 and Niels 12 — are among the most compact high-performance cores available on the market today. At 21 × 21mm for the Ernest family, they are designed from the ground up for weight-constrained airborne platforms. Whether you are building a micro-UAV for reconnaissance, a multi-rotor inspection drone, or an autonomous BVLOS platform, Senssight cores give you the thermal resolution you need without the grams you cannot afford.

Beyond raw form factor, our full SDK — available for Linux, Android and Windows — means your team spends less time on driver integration and more time on mission software. Shutterless operation, radiometric support, AGC and noise reduction are all included out of the box.

When every gram and every pixel counts, the thermal core you choose defines the platform.

Compact thermal cores for drone payload integration

For UAV platforms, thermal imaging performance must fit within strict constraints: weight, power consumption, size, vibration resistance and available processing resources. A thermal core that works well on the ground is not always suitable for airborne integration.

Senssight thermal camera cores are designed for drone payloads where every gram matters. Their compact format allows engineers to integrate infrared imaging into gimbals, fixed payloads, inspection drones, surveillance UAVs or autonomous airborne systems without oversizing the platform.

Whether the mission involves infrastructure inspection, search and rescue, perimeter monitoring, firefighting support or long-range observation, Senssight provides the thermal vision foundation needed to detect heat signatures, identify anomalies and operate beyond visible light conditions.

Thermal imaging built for mission-critical UAV applications

Drone operators and UAV manufacturers need thermal payloads that deliver reliable image quality in changing flight conditions. Altitude, motion, temperature variations and limited onboard resources all influence the performance of an embedded infrared system.

Senssight cores combine compact mechanical design with advanced thermal imaging features such as radiometric support, shutterless operation, AGC and noise reduction. This makes them suitable for UAV applications where thermal data must be captured, processed and transmitted efficiently.

For integrators, the benefit is a flexible thermal imaging module that can be adapted to the drone architecture, mission software and payload design. With SDK support for Linux, Android and Windows, Senssight helps development teams reduce integration time and focus on building high-value aerial imaging solutions.
