Thermal imaging as part of the 4.0 industry

Thermal imaging has evolved into one of the most valuable diagnostic tools for industrial applications. By detecting anomalies often invisible to the naked eye, infrared systems allow preventive and corrective actions to be taken before costly system failures occur.

Smart Industry

In an industrial environment, thermal imagers enable monitoring of critical manufacturing processes to detect hot spots in electrical or mechanical installations.

The main applications addressed are:

  • Electrical problems detection(low and high voltage inspection): using thermal imaging on the electrical system is a simple way to check for overloaded circuits, motor bearing failure, issues with electricity distribution, even loose connections.
  • Process manufacturing monitoring: the temperature measurements on a production line can provide some precious indicators of an actual or future malfunction (overheated, liquid leakage …)

The market is characterized by constant price wars and is highly competitive in nature. To sustain competition and preserve thermal imaging market share, the high significance is laid on developing technologically advanced and cost-effective products.

To help thermal camera manufacturers to achieve these challenges and increase their competitivity, SENSSIGHT provides an embedded and low energy system able to optimize their product bill-of-materials:

  • Image enhancement & optimization (from x4 to x8 in spatial resolution, <1°C thermal resolution)
  • Product life increase (by removing mechanical shutter and its random lifetime)

But SENSSIGHT has also developed a small, autonomous and portable thermal industrial endoscope to detect events in harsh conditions (IP54). It is the world’s tiniest, hardened and wireless thermal endoscope with the best-in-class performance/price ratio that monitors and detect various events to take preventive and curative actions.
